Self evaluation - Oral presentation.

MY SCRIPT

INTRODUCTION 

"Hello I want to show you this presentation. In my presentation I am going to explain the history, evolution and others specs of Microsoft.

Of course all teenagers of this class are doing the magnify and wonderful project, but which operating system are you using?

Obviously the answer is Windows, but maybe nowadays you are using mac computers.

Good, after this introduction, I begin.

I would like to start with some questions, for example What do you think about this multinational? Another for example Do you know why you work with windows? This question looks easy but if you think one moment you will see the answer is: I don't know. And Maybe the most important question is CAN you choose? In this presentation I will try to answer these questions for point of view and we will reflection in this issue. The finality of this presentation is philosophize about this topic and maybe after this you change your opinion of this company.

EVOLUTION

Well, since QDOS Microsoft are creating and improving their operating system. Moreover Bill Gates change the commercial politic, nowadays they don't search an efficient and useful system, they follow beautiful and cool interface, like windows e(xp)erience and windows vista, or windows 7.

In my opinion I think that WV is the worst OS(Operation System) in the world, I don't know if you remember this OS, and if you have installed this operating system Microsoft must pay you 100$ for month but only is my opinion. Do you agree?

Thanks to the improvement of the technology, now we are in Windows 7-8. Windows 8, the newest one it is more focused on the android system and smart phone systems. Most of you maybe have the WXP or W7, but WVISTA was really bad.

For another hand Microsoft work in another task like games, with xbox, internet explorer, MSN which is a program of instant message an others privates frauds like Microsoft office.

MONOPOLY

Probably Microsoft are one of the most powerful company in the world. For example one of these monopolys, maybe the most important, is the OS. A funny information that I found in the internet is that Microsoft win 3.600 millions only in Spain when our budget for education this year is 3200millions so the win 400 millions more than our education budget.

Microsoft was in the tribunals some times for accusations of monopoly, but nothing can stop this giant. One of the fine that Bill Gates must payed was 5 billions to (American Telephone and Telegraph) Although this nowadays this multinational are buying more rights of different programs and applications, so if you like computer games or anything programs you must buy this OS so only can ruining on this OS. Often this cause the illegally downloads.

CONCLUSION

Well my conclusion is very logic, we can't take the bull by the horns, it's MICROSOFT so if we need work and play some programs we must use this platform. We think that in the future Microsoft will disappear, and the people use free software like LINUX."

SELF EVALUATION

Well, as always, I need more dedication, a better fluency and more study. I am able to understand a fluid conversation in English, maybe all the things I watch and all the things I am learning on my own are in English. I am able to see series in English with subtitles.

I need more dedication in the fluency of my speech. I know what I need to say, but I don't know how to say it. This is for my lack of vocabulary and grammatical use.

I am improving my English a lot, and I think that I need to go in other countries to learn this language and to be a more complete person.

Humour discussion

When did humour start? We don't know it, but I think that humour started with the creation of communication.

Our life could be better if we took it or we made it funnier. Personally I spend a lot of time being sad, but I recognize that it is a hundred times better living your life with a smile in your face.

There are people who hate jokes, who never smile, and when I see that it's like a waste of their lives for them.

Laughter is related to happiness, happiness is one of the passions of humans and we live with it. Sadness, love, and many more I think that a human person needs to have all of them to be a complete person.

As on conclusion, I can only defend that the idea of “humour is necessary” is completely true, because it's part of the essential passions of humanity.

Email to teacher

Hello Elisabet, I lost my writing of the email, but I I will make a new one. I don't remember what the topic was but it will be a critic of me.

I am what I am. I love music, I need it. I am like music too, sometimes I am on the top of the live, optimistic and happy, but I have my downs also. Maybe I suffer more in my downs but it's the way I am or I can change to try to get more positive moments? It's so difficult.

Moreover I like to study things that I like on my own. I like to study, it sounds ridiculous but it's the true. What happened to me it's what I ask myself every time I fail an exam (too many times this year). But I know my problem, should I told it or no, this is my problem and I think that it's on my responsibility to solve it.

A strange reflection about me to replace the email, I am giving you the image of your reply to remember that I had it done.

OPINION:

Indignant and even I don't bought this game console. This couldn't be more pathetic. It's just another business and it's filthy. Let's see, when I bought it I am paying more than five hundred Euros or dollars and the think I bought it's not working well, the same for Playstation 4. Amazing...

Why a game console like those have less performance than a gamer computer? I never have bought any game console because I see them like a scam for us. The good ones were the old ones, once is in the market and generate a lot of money, they get corrupted and you need to pay for every single thing you do with your game console.

Actually, if you wanna play a game, first you pay what it costs, then you pay for the Internet, then you pay the subscription of that game and finally you pay for extra content that you need it to play normally. Yes we can give a new name to this consoles: “paying console”.

It's irrelevant because they launch this product to generate more money for this dates; Black Friday, Christmas, etc.

It makes me sick.

Body piercing controls wheelchair

OPINION:

Amazing work from this project. I think that this kind of things make the difference in this world. It's very important to make an easier life to this people who are ill. This system allows you to control your wheelchair with the movement of your own tongue. You have the power with just a little move of it. I find some mistakes, maybe if you wanna talk to someone, what your wheelchair will do? An epic dance in the middle of the street, that could be awesome.

Leaving aside the jokes, this is a step further in this investigation. If it makes life easier of those who can move any part of their body, this is and amazing piercing.

OPINION:

Sometime I have heard about something called “Black Friday”, now I know what it is. USA is more intelligent than what we know, just when I had finished to read this notice I have realized the money that this represents. It's amazing the tones of people buying at the same time, fighting with themselves each year and just to buy things at low cost. Imagine how many money the companies are borrowing us, because if they can allow to down the prices to 50% and more, unimaginable.

I don't support the Black Friday, we are just money for this companies. And I am totally disagree if this day implies violence and injured people.

Well, I am waiting for this game since the last year when I sawed for the first time through Guild Wars 2 page, it was a link to Carbine Studios and I was interested in the jobs that they offer and what you need to take them. Then I saw this game and since then I have subscribed to the newsletter. I like to play MMORPG and good games in general. I always pay for the games, It's a tradition, I don't enjoy them If I play them in illegal way.

This game will make a new way to play RPG games and it looks so cool. I just can say that if they get awards before it's on the market, that's amazing. I will play it for sure, and I will spend my money to play it.

OPINION:

The youngest men to accomplish this position, amazing. With twenty five years old, this make me think what will I do at this age. Robert van de Corput (aka Hardwell) has became one of the most commercial producers in the world. He has went to the underground style to the easy-sell product. I start to follow Hardwell work in 2009 approximately and I still love his own sound nowadays. It's difficult to think that the number one “DJ” in the world had came in my town to play a set in Hot Fata.

Nowadays I am following his steps, It's like my benchmark.

Avicii first favourite of EDM

OPINION:

Yeah, Avicii makes one of the most difficult thinks in the EDM scene. Make an album with a total innovation and new. Avicii, the king of the radio songs, with his hit “Wake me up”, he had done an amazing set on Ultra Music Festival 2013. It was different and risky.

For me Avicii is a continuous changing artist who is able to make real music with whatever you give him. For me it's amazing and hopeful that someone is making diferent kind of music and he deserves this award. If you buy this new album called “True” you will feel the music with something different, the country sound and the electronic sound combined.

 

My personal critic of "English Blog" system

I thought to make a critic about the system of this English Blog, so I will make it.

Against this system I think that there are a couple of things. One of those is that we need to control more when we do the posts. What I mean is that if teachers wanna make it functional, they need to put deadlines more often, or in each post, for example: make a post each week like a homework. For me this could be positive because one post it is not difficult for me and I just spent 15 minutes, approximately, in each post.

Some positive things about this way to work writings, could be that we need to search our topics, and we learn a lot because we search what we like but we do it in other languages. Personally, I learn more alone than with other people (in class).

If it was in my hands to decide to do or not to do the "English Blog" I realized that it beneficial for me, so, I will do it to increase my level.

I my case, I will never learnt that I need to do the blog in early timing. I have no solution. Poor of me.

Game of thrones

Well, what can I say about this, I love it, it's all what I want, all in one. How many more can I ask in there? There are battles, beautiful girls, dragons and all the things I like (wait, there are no computers... WHAT!, just kidding.).

Moreover it's one of the best series I have ever seen, I love it. Maybe it's not that good to surpass the magnificence of Breaking Bad but I still love it. I just love the characters in Games of Thrones. My favourite character is one of the Lannister, he is Tyrion. He's one of the most funny characters and I never get tired of him. One of his bests scenes for me is when he was captured and court by the sister of Catelyn Tully.

It's really difficult to explain the plot of Games of Thrones, because it's formed of different scenes and all together go in the same point.

This is the story of a teenager who had cancer. His live hope it was five months since the video of hi story in 2009. On May 20, 2013, cancer took the life of Zach. Zach was diagnosed a disease of cancer at the age of 17 years old, and that's why it makes my think about the meaning of life.

There is a video of his story and the way that he lived his last days. The documentary is called "My last days" and it makes me cry, and that's strange because I have never cried for the disasters of other people, but this one have totally changed me. I can't imagine what will I do if something like this happens to me or to someone who I love, it could be one big challenge to take it like him. I will never forget this, that's for sure, the length of the video was twenty two minutes, but i felt it like twenty two hours.
